A Workshop for Canadian Business Faculty

Global sustainability - energy, climate, water, food, justice, population, poverty - will form the relevant context for organizational leaders in the 21st century.
What are the practical implications for business education?

Whether you teach Finance, Marketing, Entreprenuership, Accounting, Operations, Organizational Behaviour, or Strategic Management, issues in global sustainability will have a direct impact on the work life of your students, and on the people and organizations they lead. Does your teaching prepare them for this?

Barry Colbert, Director, CMA Centre for Business and Sustainability, Wilfrid Laurier University and Elizabeth Kurucz, College of Management and Economics, University of Guelph, invite you to attend an educational workshop for faculty interested in incorporating sustainability issues into their curriculum design and delivery.

The workshop will allow participants a unique opportunity to engage in meaningful dialogue with other faculty members across Canada, to explore best practices of leading business institutions, and to discuss the challenges and opportunities that accompany sustainability-focused business education. We invite a multi-stakeholder, collaborative exploration, drawing on perspectives from sustainability educators, students, industry, government, and civil society.

Registration is free - full meals, snacks, and beverages will be provided (spaces are limited). Please register before Monday, April 26th, 2010.

Contact Aabir Dey, Research Assistant, CMA Centre for Business and Sustainability if you have any questions.
